Frequently Asked Questions
TROUBLESHOOTING
1. A small amount of wobble is normal. Ceiling fans may have slight movement during operation, and this is not usually a defect.
2. Check the downrod set screws. Wobbling is often caused by loose set screws in the downrod support. Tighten both set screws securely in the downrod support. Tighten the set screw in the hanger ball assembly
3. Make sure the hanger ball is seated correctly. If the groove in the hanger ball isn’t aligned with the tab in the mounting bracket, the fan can wobble. Rehang the fan so the tab fits securely into the groove.
4. Confirm the mounting bracket and outlet box are secure. A loose ceiling outlet box or bracket is a common cause of excessive wobble. Tighten the hanger bracket screws and ensure the outlet box is firmly fastened.
5. Still wobbling? Consider a longer downrod. If possible, using a longer downrod can improve stability and airflow in certain spaces.

1. Check for loose screws Most fan noise comes from screws that have loosened over time. Make sure all screws in the motor housing are snug (do not overtighten).
2. Inspect wire connectors inside the housing. Sometimes wire connectors can rattle against each other or the interior of the switch housing. Turn power off and ensure connectors are secure and not vibrating.
3. Avoid incompatible wall controls. Some fan motors are sensitive to solid-state or variable speed controls, which can create noise. Solid-state controls are not recommended—use an alternative control method such as the included remote.
4. Confirm installation is secure. Noise can also occur if mounting hardware is loose. Check that the hanger bracket and outlet box are firmly fastened to prevent vibration.

The remote reset process is slightly different depending on which style of Arranmore ceiling fan you have.
Follow the steps below for your model:
Remote Not Working? (Fandelier)
Confirm the wall switch is ON and the fan has power.
Replace the remote batteries (uses 2 AAA 1.5V).
Do not use a dimmer switch—use a simple ON/OFF wall switch.
To re-pair the remote:
Power OFF for 15 seconds
Power ON again
Within 4 seconds, press and hold On/Off
Fan beeps twice when paired
Remote Not Working? (Standard Ceiling Fan)
Confirm the fan has power and the wall switch is ON.
Replace the remote batteries (uses 2 AAA 1.5V).
Do not use dimmer or variable wall controls.
To re-pair the remote:
Turn power OFF
Slide dip switch to “1”
Turn power ON
Press the LEARN button within 1 minute
Still not working?
If the remote still doesn’t respond, contact Arranmore Support.
1. Make sure you’re using the correct bulbs. This fan requires LED bulbs only. Make sure you are using the right bulb. Using the wrong bulb type can cause flickering or overheating.
2. Do not use a dimmer wall switch. Wall dimmers are not compatible and can cause flickering or damage the remote receiver. Use a simple ON/OFF wall switch instead.
3. Use the remote to dim the lights. Brightness should be adjusted using the remote controls. Press and hold to increase or decrease light brightness
4. Check light wiring connections. If flickering continues, the light plug connection between the fan and receiver may not be fully secure. Confirm the light wire plug is inserted into the correct receiver socket.
Still flickering?
Turn off power and inspect all wiring connections, or contact a licensed electrician if needed. If the issue persists, Arranmore Support can help.
1. Check your breaker or fuse. The most common cause is a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse. Check the main and branch circuit fuses or circuit breakers.
2. Confirm the fan has power at the wall switch. Make sure the wall switch is turned ON so the fan receiver is getting power.
3. Inspect wiring connections (power off first). Loose wiring can prevent the fan from starting. Check line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the housing.
⚠️ Always turn off power at the breaker before inspecting wiring.
4. Replace the remote batteries. If the fan is powered but unresponsive, the remote battery may be dead. Replace with two new AAA batteries and then re-pair the remote.
5. Check the reverse switch position. If the reverse function is stuck in neutral, the fan may not run. Make sure the reversing switch is pushed fully to one side.

1. Turn the fan off before cleaning. Always switch the fan off and let the blades come to a complete stop before cleaning. Be cautious when working near the fan to avoid injury.
2. Use only a soft, dry cloth or brush. Routine cleaning is simple—use a soft brush or lint-free cloth to gently remove dust.. Abrasive cleaners are not needed and should be avoided to protect the finish.
3. Never use water or liquid cleaners. Do not clean your ceiling fan with water, as it can damage the motor or create the risk of electrical shock.
4. Be careful not to disturb blade balance. Fan blades are factory-balanced, so avoid tearing or removing the balance stickers during cleaning or maintenance.
